We have received multiple phone calls from our customers in the last two weeks with reports of an increase in solicitations from shady companies offering extended warranty plans for Hyundai vehicles.
These phone solicitors, (who obtain owner information from the State of Illinois), regularly misrepresent not only the factory warranty coverage(s) still in effect on our customers’ vehicles, but have in many cases, managed to obtain credit card information to place sub-standard warranties at prohibitively high prices.
These SCAMS are perpetrated by “companies” that often are out of business within weeks of getting this information, only to re-appear with a different name, based in a different state or country, down the road.
If you are contacted by ANY entity claiming to be offering you an extended service plan for your vehicle, we strongly urge you to hang up, and call our business office immediately at (847) 553-3110. Our staff can quickly determine your correct warranty information, and let you know what options are available for you only if you are interested.
In many cases, no additional coverage is necessary. Please understand that this message is not intended to sell you anything, but to protect you from being duped into spending your hard –earned money for an illicit product, sold through dishonest methods.
If you have recently received calls like those described above, and feel you might have provided any financial information to the caller, we urge you to contact your credit card company as soon as possible to verify you are not being billed for a product you did not want or need.
